RubyMine

Published: 30 June 2009

Built on top of the JetBrains IntelliJ IDEA platform, the RubyMine IDE offers advanced support for Ruby on Rails coding, Graphical Ruby and Rails Debugger, tight VCS integration and a GUI-based test runner.

It performs an analysis of project code, offers code completion suggestions and provides a range of Rails-aware refactorings. It also offers Version Control Systems integration with features such as change lists and shelved changes for all supported systems.

Integration with Subversion, Git, Perforce, and CVS is available out of the box. Its graphical Ruby and Rails Debugger supports breakpoints in Ruby code and even in Rails RHTML view files. RSpec and Test::Unit testing frameworks support is available, and it has an open API for creating Ruby or Java plugins.
